Eggs are filled with amino acids, zine, and B vitamins and this helps build white blood cells and antibodies, which the body needs to fight off illnesses.
Red Bell Peppers are full of vitamin C. Eating just one pepper you’ll consume 200 mg or more of vitamin C. (Surprisingly an orange contains 70 mg of vitamin C so skip the oranges and chow down on red bell peppers)
Ginger helps cure colds. By eating fresh ginger your body sweats out toxins and it may fight viruses.
Garlic contains sulfur-based compounds and boosts your immune system so it may keep your body free of infections.
Fact of the day: “Sugar causes your body to secrete large quantities of insulin, which suppresses the release of a hormone that helps regulate the immune system…excessive amounts of sugar also deplete crucial B vitamins needed by the liver to detoxify the body.” -Connie Gutterson, R.D., Ph.D
